Some things to note…

Delivery, seasonality & variances

The growing season usually starts in April however I can source from other British growers for special occasions. All flower options can be collected from the farm or delivered within a five miles radius of Bridgwater. (We want to produce our blooms as sustainably as possible with a minimal carbon footprint). We also want them to arrive in the best condition possible so we don’t currently post them.

Our flowers and foliage are unique and reflective of what is naturally growing within each season. We want them to shout opulence, wild & natural, quintessentially British flowers. Each order is hand-picked with the customer in mind from subscription flowers to business jam-jar posies through to bouquets & wedding flowers, each option is personal.

Subscription flower share

3.png

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) flower share are weekly, bi-weekly or monthly seasonal bunches of local flowers. By signing up in advance and committing to a 4-6 week period of weekly, bi-weekly or monthly flower bunches you invest in the flower farm and support me to grow flowers for you.

This is to ensure your investment results in the best of the bunch – unique high-quality stems, hand-picked when they are at their best. In return, you collect or receive your flowers (delivery within 4 miles of the farm & charges apply) in a hand-tied, biodegradable flower sleeve.

As a thank you for supporting the farm grow eco-friendly, sustainable flowers you are invited to member-only pick-your-own flower days. Availability for flower share subscriptions is limited within each season to ensure you receive the best quality blooms on a Monday or Saturday. Further details including cost & availability can be found in the shop.

What is a flower share?

The concept is based on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) where you invest, in advance, in your local farmers. Paying in advance helps the farmer have the capital to purchase seeds and other supplies. As a result of your investment, you receive a share of the flowers. You also get to visit the farm on special members open days and cut your own days.

What are the flower share options?

You can purchase weekly, bi-weekly or monthly market bunches which you can then arrange yourself. At certain times of year, there are options to order one type of flower, for example, Dahlia’s are available August until the first frost.

Are there specific flower share days?

Yes, you can start your subscription for Monday or Saturday Flowers.

Can you gift your flower share if you are away?

Of course, if the person is local you are welcome to do this. Please do provide at least a weeks notice.

How do I sign up?

Through the shop, right here.

Bespoke artisan bouquets & bunches are available in two sizes

Seasonal flowers are used to create natural, country garden style bouquets. Each bouquet or flower bunch is unique, reflecting the flowers in the field. For example, spring flowers include Ranunculus, Anemones & Peony type Tulips alongside Foxgloves, Lupins, aromatic herbs and hedgerow foliage; early summer sees the arrival of Sweet peas, Roses & Zinnia with Phlox, wild carrot & Queen Annes lace; By autumn the field is full of blousey Dahlia’s & Chrysanthemums (not your supermarket types) mixed with hedgerow berries & seed heads. In winter we can offer dried flowers and British flowers grown in Cornwall, available from April to November.

Flowers are hand-picked to order and can be collected from the farm. Your flowers can be delivered within 5 miles of the farm for a small cost. To ensure your flowers are fresh & hydrated 24-48 hours notice is required. Outside of April to November dried flowers or seasonal flowers from Cornish growers are available. If you require a bouquet December to April please contact me to enquire as to what is growing or available.

Funerals & farewells

Making beautiful tribute flowers which reflect the British countryside is a privilege. Each stem is cut with the recipient in mind and I like to use flowers with a poignant meaning such as Rosemary for remembrance. Arrangements such as sheaves, wreaths and coffin displays are all eco-friendly and natural. Pippa doesn’t use plastics, floral foam or wire so they are suited for woodland burials. I would be honoured to speak to you or your funeral director. Please contact me through the form here.

Its really important to me that the flowers are a beautiful tribute to your friend or family member. I do like to speak to you, just to talk about the style you want and where I deliver the flowers to. I have a leaflet which gives you an idea of sizes and types of arrangements. If you are using a funeral director they can contact me on your behalf.

Prices start at £60 and include delivery to a funeral director within 5 miles of Bridgwater.

Workshops, events & grow-a-longs

Experience the blooms first hand

Throughout the year I offer a range of activities where you have the opportunity to learn about flowers I grow. From workshops to create wreaths or meadow boxes to seasonal grow-alongs so you can grow your own cut flowers alongside what I am growing. The Dahlia grow-along is popular as these plants require a lot of nurturing and care.

These events are offered to newsletter subscribers and then advertised on Instagram and Facebook before being released in the shop. You can also contact me if you would like a workshop for a special occasion such as a flower crown workshop or one to one sessions.

From May through to October bi-weekly flower clubs are available where you can meet others and make a floral arrangement with flowers grown on the farm.

The farm is open to the public for specific events to celebrate British flowers week or Flowers from the Farm big weekend. Members of the flower share get an opportunity to attend the farm for a pick-your-own event.

Photographers and painters are catered for with opportunities to create your own artistic take on the flower field by appointment only. Please contact me to organise.

General FAQs

Click to expand & read more

How do I get your flowers?

You can order through the website shop. If you want a bespoke bouquet or want one flower variety please complete the contact form here.

Can I buy your flowers at any time?

As I grow seasonally, the flowers are usually in bloom March through to November. Out of this season, I can provide dried flowers and occasionally I will source British flowers to order. In March, If you have a question please complete the contact form here.

Why is there a minimum 48 hours notice?

I pick the flowers just for you. They are best cut in the early morning when they are hydrated. I then condition them in water in a cool place for a day before cutting and arranging your flowers. This is my preference to ensure better quality flowers but you are welcome to complete the contact form here, if you require them sooner.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 5 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm. Unfortunately, as this is a working farm we are not open for visits without prior agreement. After you purchase your flowers you will receive a confirmation email which contains a link to my contact number so you can call if you need help finding the farm or confirming your collection time.

Caring for your flowers

When your flowers arrive they have been conditioned overnight.

To get the best from them please:

❀ Use a clean vase

❀ Remove any leaves that will be under the waterline

❀ Cut the stems at an angle with sharp scissors or a knife as this allows more cells to take up the water

❀ Keep them away from direct sunlight such as a bright windowsill. They prefer a cool place and won’t last as long sat by a radiator

❀ Keep away from fruit. Fruit contains ethylene, a natural chemical that ripens fruit. It can cause your flowers to decay quickly

❀ Keep them hydrated. Flowers last longer in freshwater so changing the water every 2-3 days or when the water is low will keep them blooming

Are you Covid safe?

Yes, I work within local guidelines to ensure the premises are clean and I wear appropriate PPE. When you collect or I deliver your flowers PPE is worn to protect us both.

Do you deliver?

You can collect from the farm, in Wembdon, Monday through to Saturday. I can deliver within approximately five miles of Bridgwater for a £5 delivery fee.  Area includes; Steart, Pawlett, Huntspill, Woolavington, Bawdip, Chedzoy, North Petherton, Enmore, Spaxton, Fiddington, Chilton Trinity, Cannington, Stogursey, Neither Stowey, and all areas radiating to Wembdon.

Delivery days are dependent on availability. It is always best to contact me first.

Does someone need to be in for delivery?

The flowers can be left with a neighbour or in a safe place (away from direct sunlight). Please add a comment to your order form. If you know no one will be home, please leave a bucket of water in a safe and shady space for the flowers to await their recipients arrival and communicate where this place is in the order form.

Do you post flowers?

At this time I am not posting flowers. I want you to receive the best quality blooms.

Can I add extras to my order?

I can provide hand-dyed, ribbons. Please add these to your order and state which bouquet you would like the ribbon on.

Ribbons can only be added to bouquets, not flower buckets or subscription flowers.

How do I pay?

I prefer payment at the time of your order through the website shop. If this is difficult for you or you would prefer another payment method, please complete the contact form here.

If you would like a bunch of one flower type please contact me so I can ensure I have them in stock.
